- The MacScouter: One stop shopping for games, skits, campfire planning, and much, much, more.
- Boy Scout Trail: A very large site with a lot of resources.
- Join Cub Scouting: A website aimed at prospective scouts and their families. It has games for the scouts and information for the parents.
- Baloo's Bugle: Publishes monthly newsletters for planning scout activities.
- US Scouting Service Project: The main page from the Baloo's Bugle link above. Has a tremendous number of links.
- Webelos Badget Requirements. Lengthy, but handy to have all in one place.
- Boy's Life. A great website with a lot of interesting information. Direct your scouts here!
- Scout Crossing. Another monster website with tons of information: games, skits, ideas.
- NASA Youth Page: A Great Site!
- Gulf Winds Track Club: Tallahassee's track club. A great site for information on all local (and not so local) races, fun-runs, and charitable events.
- Google Moon: Yes, that's right. Google Moon. This is a great website modeled after Google Maps. You can zoom in to incredible detail anywhere on the moon. In addition, push pins mark the moon landings. Once you zoom into a moon landing site, other push pins mark significant events at that spot, including photos and videos. A fascinating site!
- Google Customized Search:
Google allows you to create customized search engines that, in reviewing them, have two benefits to us.
First of all, you can focus on particular sites and keywords.
Secondly, there are no ads
For example, if you use the Google search engine customized for Pack 115, your results will return only sites with the keywords I've specified, beginning with the websites I have specified.
Furthermore, you will not come across companies that are selling camping equipment.
Give it a try. I am very curious about how it will work.
