Pack 115 Advancement

Cub scouts must complete the required Achievements as specified in the appropriate handbook to earn the next rank. There are also many beltloops and pins, badges, patches, tracks and arrows that can be earned. Links to detailed information can be found on the Resource page.

The Advancement Chair must be notified of completion of achievements toward rank, belt loops, pins, badges,or arrow points. This notification must include the 1) cub scout name, 2) specific achievement or award and 3) date completed. This information is required by the Council for purchasing the awards. Awards cannot be given without this information.

Example: Kidd Wolfe, Achievement 3 (a,c,d and e) - completed 10/4/11, Art beltloop - 10/11/11 and Art pin items# 1,2,4,6,7 - 10/18/11.

Notification can be sent anytime between Pack meetings but in order for the cub to receive earned awards at the Pack meeting, notification must be received by the Thursday before the Pack meeting. Please remember that the Advancement Chair must have time to record, purchase and package the awards. If notifcation is received after the deadline, the cub scout will receive the award at the next month's Pack meeting.

Tiger Cubs receive a Tiger Cub Totem which is hung from the button of the right shirt pocket. To hang from his totem, a Tiger scout receives a white bead for each required 'family activity' completed, an orange bead for each required 'den activity' completed and a black bead for each required 'Go See It' completed. Yellow 'Tiger Track' disks are awarded for every 10 Tiger Electives completed after earning his Tiger rank badge.

Wolf and Bear Cubs receive a Progress Toward Ranks Totem which is hung from the button of the right shirt pocket. For every 3 achievements completed, a Wolf scout receives a gold bead and a Bear scout receives a red bead. A gold arrow is awarded for the first 10 and a silver arrow for each additional 10 Electives completed after earning the next rank.
